What are return hairs?

When buying a closure, a frontal or a wig, you may have noticed the short hairs on the top, for example, on the top of a closure, many customers have complained this issue to their hair vendors, they do not like too many short hairs on their wigs, they want perfect wigs. Actually return hairs are normal for every closure and frontal as well as wig, almost each of them has return hairs, which do not mean low quality. Whether the closure or wig is handmade or machine made, there will be return hairs. When making a wig or a closure, the hair is knotted onto the wig base or the lace base, the short hairs will occur. For example, please check the picture below, a hair strand in 20 inches will be tied onto the lace base, a short piece on one side of the knot is about 5 inches, the longer piece on the other side is 15 inches. Hair vendors have been using this method to make lace closures and wig for a long time, this can save them a lot of manufacturing cost. No hair vendor is willing to use the left knotting method on the picture because the cost will be very large.

Too many return hairs will cause unnatural wearing experience, you can snip them with scissors. If you buy a human hair wig, in most cases the wig is made with Chinese hairs that are stiff, then you will see a lot flyaways at the top, you will need to tame them using flat iron. There are a lot of ways to tame, try to search on Youtube.
